Large masses up to 25 kg in weight were found before 1864. In 1888 precisely similar specimens were found on the Llano del Inca, (small pieces totalling 27 lb), and at Cerro de Doña Ines, (pieces totalling 16 lb), both about 100 miles SE. Of Taltal.
