Found 1924
Stony-iron. Pallasite (PAL).
A mass of 1084 g was found by H. Basedow in 1924 on the Burt Plains, Alice Springs, 23º33' S., 133º52' E. In July, 1937, the main mass of 1411.5 kg of which Alice Springs is evidently a transported fragment, was found at Huckitta, 22º22' S., 135º46' E., surrounded by over 900 kg of iron shale.
